Boxer dog is a medium sized with short coat and square-jawed muzzle. Boxers have very strong jaws and a powerful bite. This breed is use originally for bull baiting and as a guard dog, today they are mainly companions and are popular show dogs. Boxer is a people’s dog. They have an inordinate need for human companionship and do not like to be alone for extended periods.

Boxers are delightful companion. They adapt well with other dogs and children. This dog is loving and faithful to its owner. They are good defender, protector and they love children. This dog is bright, energetic and playful breed. They remain puppy like throughout their lives.

The Boxer has a shorthaired coat, which is shiny, smooth, and fits tightly to the body. The coat of the boxer needs minimal grooming, as it is very short. A rubber-grooming mitt used once or twice weekly will keep the coat in good condition. Colors are fawn, brindle and sometimes with patches of white on their underbelly, chest, and all four feet.

Cropping of the tail remains popular, although cropping the ears is now prohibited in most European breed standards and is slowly becoming banned in many other countries.

Boxer learns quickly. When it comes to training, it needs to be dominated to control them properly. Training must consist of fairness, firmness, and consistency. Boxers do well in competitive obedience and love to learn and perform tricks.

The Boxer enjoys regular play and outdoor exercise. The dog requires plenty of exercise; they love to go charging around wide-open spaces, chase balls and Frisbees.
